PostSubject: newbie help, bike set-up + advice ..   Fri Dec 09, 2011 12:47 am

hi mga fellow bikers balak ko magtrial bike and magbuo ng trial bike for beginners, mtb freeride biker po ako then narealize ko gusto ko din magtricks like ng nagagawa ng mga trial bikes medyo nakakasawa na din kasi po ung urban assault and minsan trails, gusto ko sanang malaman if how much ung pinakamurang trial bike na ok ung hindi madaling masira?

nagttry na din ako magpractice ng tricks using my mtb pero nabibigatan ako , by the way taga manila ako tondo po. my mga taga manila po ba d2 n my training clinic around manila pra makasilip ako at lalong mahikayat po ehehe,

ask ko din if bket ung ibang trial bike is wlang upuan and ung iba meron anong pinagkaiba nila?

Actually kahit anong bike naman pwedeng pang trials. Pero may down side when it comes to progression. But when I got the adamant, I feel more confident in doing moves. May tumaas ang kumpiyansa ko to drop higher, to gap longer, to hop higher etc.

If you plan to convert your DJ bike to do trials, ok lang naman. Pero you can do basics ng kahit anong discipline sa kahit anong setup.

Yung iba gusto nila may upuan kasi mas confident sila sa gnaung set up. Kasi nga pwede pambiyahe...Kung tingnan mo kasi ang history ng trials bike, yung mga dating bike may upuan talaga and yung mga sinaunang set up kala mo pang flat land. Pero innovation comes when the weight weenie emerges. And sa trials bike kasi mostly of your moves hindi mo naman talaga kailangan umupo kaya there's no need for a saddle.

@tzard

SS mtb

SS mtb, rigid fork, a bit longer stem

same old set-up except for the trials frame

nasira yung alum frame, kaya shifted to steet trials
cromo frame, long stem, trials gearing

sumikat si dannymac, 24s street trials

nainggit kay dyani, Onza Modified

nainspire ni Joes, at may magandang pagkakataon. Zhi stock

and, my current rig...

@davidoff

if 15" sana ung size nia mababasan ng konti kaya ung timbang sir? medyo pangit nga ung pedal nia maliit kasi pero medyo makapit nman. binababa ko ung upuan nia pag nagppractice ako kaya lang nkataas jan kasi paalis na kami pauwi nakakangawit kasi pag nakasagad tpos malayong ride eheh.

@abe
